2. Jimmy Hoffa
On July 30m 1975, Jimmy Hoffa disappeared from a parking lot in a suburb of Detroit. It is believed that he was there to meet two Mafia leaders, Anthony Provenzano and Anthony Giacalone. Provenzano had been quite close to Hoffa and he was Hoffa’s vice president in Teamster.
When he failed to return, his wife reported him missing. Although Hoffa’s car was quickly found on the parking lot, no one can conclusively determine his fate. Both Provenzano and Giacalone denied had a meeting with Hoffa that day. On the 7th anniversary of his disappearance in 1982, Hoffa was declared legally dead.
