The Spacemen’s State
Two men from Ohio, Orville and Wilbur Wright flew the first real airplane for 12 seconds and this was the start of a series of weird coincidences. In 1962, John Glenn, became the first American to reach the space, followed by his fellow Ohioan, Neil Armstrong in 1969, the first man to step on the moon. Along the way, Ohio produced 22 more astronauts.
