8. The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
This film is based on a novel of the same name. Clarence Starling (Jodie Foster), a young FBI agent, goes to see the imprisoned Dr Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) in order to apprehend another serial killer. Starling must confide in Dr Lecter in order to get his help on profiling the serial killer known as Buffalo Bill.
