3. Hippopotamus
Hippopotamus is considered as the most dangerous large animal in Africa and females are known to be very aggressive when protecting their young calves. It is among a few animals that can kill crocodiles and often attack people on land and in boats with no prior provocations. When attacking, hippos parry with their incisors and inflict an enormous amount of damage with their lower canines.
