3. Tetsuo, the Iron Man (1989)
Even the trailer of this movie is so intense, it can make your head hurts. Tetsuo, the Iron Man has camera and cinematography works that are way ahead of its time. The industrial-electronic soundtrack thumps throughout the duration of the film, while the director successfully conveys visual images of cyberpunk terror. Although the storyline is quite simple, some said that the movie is still impossible to follow fully: A fetishist that regularly inserts pieces of metal into his body transforms into a vengeful, metal-obsessed monster after being hit by a car. Nevertheless, Tetsuo, The Iron Man certainly still has its place in cyberpunk filmography.
