1. Un Chien Andalou (1929 Short Film)
Even if you don’t like this movie, it will probably be something you never forget. It is one of the most bizarre and interesting films you will come across. Its distinctive style is something worth seeing. Despite the chaotic (or lack thereof) narrative, the film is very well crafted. It may be impossible to attach meaning to some of the scenes, yet the music seems to complement the scenes surprisingly well.
While the exact meaning of symbols used in the film is unclear at times; it strongly suggests frustration, desires and the like. Trying to deliberately analyze Un Chien Andalou is perhaps a mistake and the film might be better viewed like your own dream; though, the eye-gouging scene can be too gruesome for some people.
