Thelma Ritter was an American actress with six Academy Award nominations for various supporting roles in All About Eve, The Mating Season, With a Song in My Heart, Pickup on South Street, Pillow Talk and Birdman of Alcatraz. Ritter is best known today for roles as working class characters in South Street (1953), Titanic (1953) and The Misfits (1961).
