1. Peter O’Toole
Peter O’Toole or Peter Seamus Lorcan O’Toole is an Irish actor both on screen and stage. He gained immense public recognition for his role as T.E. Lawrence in Lawrence of Arabia and throughout his career; Peter has received eight Academy Awards nominations, unfortunately without a win. He also won an Emmy, a BAFTA and four Golden Globes.
In 2003, Peter received an Honorary Academy Award for his lifelong contributions to film industry. He initially balked about accepting an honorary award believing that he was still in the game and wanted to get a “real” one. The award was presented to him directly by Meryl Streep, an actress with the most Academy Award nominations.
