6. Trulli of Alberobello


The Trulli of Alberollo is an excellent example of man’s building techniques. Erected in the prehistoric times, these buildings still stands as they are. The fascinating thing about Trulli is that they are built only by laying stones one upon one without using any other building material. The roofs are shaped similar to the burial tombs and there are pagan symbols on some of the roofs.

5. Costiera Amalfitana


The Costiera Amalfitana is significant for its natural beauty and diversity. Humans have lived here since the Middle Ages. The architecture and art work of the towns of Ravello and Amalfi are worth a visit. The inhabitants of the area have well adapted to the diverse terrain ranging from orchards and vineyards to upland pastures.
