5. The Central China Floods
China has been the victim of several floods from time to time. One of these floods was the Central China Floods which occurred in 1931. The overflowing of the Yangtze River due to incessant rains caused the flooding of several other rivers which resulted in a massive number of deaths in China. An estimated 3.7 million people were affected by the flood of which many died due to drowning, starvation and disease.
