Because of its antibacterial properties, honey can help soothe your sore throat.  Mix  a teaspoon of ground ginger in a cup of water. Add half a lemon and a teaspoon of honey. Gargle with this home remedy to soothe your sore throat.

Contains antibacterial and antifungal  Properties, honey prevents bacterial growth.  If the wound or scratch is bleeding,  light burns, wash the wound thoroughly with soap and water. Also try put some honey on the injured area to prevent infection before covering it with a dressing.

Help Control Low Blood Sugar

Consumption Honey powder helps to maintain levels of blood sugar more effectively than sucrose and maltodextrin, according to a study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition. High intake of carbohydrates and protein after exercise can cause hypoglycemia  in some people. The consumption of honey   helps to fight against hypoglycemia by rebalancing a blood sugar level too low.

As part of a research published in the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, the honey would have prevented the growth of tumors in mice. Antioxidants of this superfood may also help your immune system to better fight against colds and flu. Further scientific studies, however, must be conducted to better understand the mechanisms and effects of honey contributing to better prevent cancer and boost the immune system in humans.

A study in Dubai, honey is the best medicine for bad cholesterol. As part of this scientific research, subjects who consumed 250 ml of water with 75 ml of natural honey for 15 days,  their “bad” cholesterol levels drop and their “good” cholesterol levels increased. Honey is an excellent conditioner for skin and hair. It is used especially in masks, as it helps to absorb and retain water. Mix honey with olive oil to get a natural shampoo. Try also moisturizing mask and lip treatment.
