9. Denton Welch
Maurice Denton Welch was an English painter and writer, which was highly appraised for precise descriptions in his lively prose. Originally, he has no intention of becoming writer or painters, but gained an interest when he studied at the Goldsmiths School of Art. On 1935, he suffered a spinal fracture due to biking accident. Although he wasn’t permanently paralyzed by the injury, his condition continued to deteriorate, due complications and severe pain. He also had bladder infections and spinal tuberculosis, further adding to his suffering. He died in Kent on December 1948. He was 33.
