Internationally renowned, Galerie Grita Insam has a strong theoretical backbone supporting conceptually rigorous artists including IRWIN, Art & Language and Candida Höfer.

With a supporting program of symposia, workshops, lectures and discussions, the gallery also includes a storefront project space, which they often curate in conjunction with other Vienna galleries.

Since its conception in 1971, the gallery has exhibited conceptual art, providing a space for performances, sound installations, film and video works, among others. The gallery further promotes its program by participating in diverse international art fairs like ARCO (Madrid), Art Basel Miami Beach and FIAC (Paris).
