Engholm Engelhorn Galerie
Tongue twisting art

This gallery may be impossible to pronounce, but it’s easy to love. Founded in 1999 by German-born Kerstin Engholm, the gallery sits next door to Georg Kargl Fine Arts and 10 years ago helped break ground in establishing Schleifmühlgasse as Vienna’s off-center hub of contemporary art. In 2004, race car-aficionado Klaus Engelhorn came on board as the gallery’s partner, and together Engholm and Engelhorn have stayed to true to their focus on up-and-coming conceptual art and new media art.

Featured artists include young British artist Angela Bulloch, Yael Bartana, Björn Dahlem, Constanze Ruhm and Hans Schabus, Austria’s representative at the Venice Biennale in 2005.
