Homegrown streetwear brand eno certainly knows how to make an impression. Enter its flagship store at Changle Lu and you are greeted by an animated window display of t-shirts hung on a track system merry-go-round spanning two storeys.
Founded by American entrepreneurs Renee Hartmann and Tor Petersen in 2006, eno targets the fashion-forward as well as the young-at-heart through its t-shirt design collaborations with emerging Chinese artists and musicians. The store also frequently hosts free performances featuring local band acts and functions as a platform to groom local music talents whose fans form the precise consumer base for eno’s t-shirts and hoodies.
