This relaxed bar/cafe is a neighborhood staple; locals populate the outdoor tables wrapped around street-corner establishments when the weather permits, casually conversing over drinks and cigarettes as if they were on their own patio.

Yet Chez Prune wins us over with more than its quirky decor, friendly staff and relaxed ambience. Beautiful amalgamations of delicious ingredients are turned out here: gravlax slices spun around zucchini pancakes topped with créme fraîche and a side glass of whipped polenta to spoon in between bites, or rich pasta dishes for a hearty lunch.

The menu is limited, but sufficiently peaks your interests. Come for a meal, a morning or midday coffee, or in the evening for a cocktail. The only other option is hanging around long enough to enjoy all of the above.
