Perfectly located nearby the Marché des Enfants Rouges, Chez Omar is a mecca for traditional couscous. Don’t expect a laid back, romantic lunch as the place is extremely busy. It’s a good sign, as the food is great, the decor hasn’t changed: an old bistrot with beautiful zinc bar you will likely lean your elbows on as the queue can be quite impressive and they do not take reservations.
If Moroccan cuisine is your thing, you’ll love Chez Omar. The menu is tajines and couscous-heavy—everything you could want. It’s melt in the mouth delicious and you’ll be lining up your next visit as you prepare to leave.
