Long before the Meatpacking District became popular, there was the Chicky Grill. A cheap, but not-so cheerful, public house that’s been—as the name suggests—grilling meat since probably before you were born. In business now for over 40 years, it’s one of the few places still with an old Vesterbro atmosphere. And what it lacks in color and light, it makes up for in character—so slide into a booth seat to soak up the nostalgia, and a beer if you must.
