Inercia is chiringuito numero tres on Nova Icária beach—a darling among Barcelona’s beaches—which basically doesn’t offer anything terribly different than its peers, but it’s still very good: a relaxing athmosphere, simple dishes, a long list of drinks and—most famously—an extensive assortment of classic cocktails, all whipped up by a cheerful staff.
Inercia’s popularity though most likely comes from the well-tuned sound system, on occasions played by DJs laying down easy electronic grooves. Meanwhile, the nearby giant rope pyramid is where the youngest beach visitors call home—and thus and makes Inercia a favorite for families as well.
