Strolling along the hip Haarlemmerstraat, it’s not difficult to walk past Mono. But a quick look inside this small shop actually reveals a hip retro interior that invites you to keep browsing.

Mono’s collection of bags, wallets, t-shirts and belts match its retro interior: the designs look like they were made from your grandma’s curtains. And we mean that in the best possible way.

Owners Indy and Erik, who occasionally can be found behind the counter themselves, started selling their designs at a small stall at the Waterlooplein market. Over the years they proved so popular, however, that they upgraded to this cute shop and a mail order service (which unfortunately doesn’t sell the t-shirts). So if you couldn’t make it to the shop or just are in a nostalgic mood, you can also head over to their web shop (although that doesn’t have Unlimited Delicious just down the street).
