6. Carlos Hathcock
Carlos Hathcock was a Vietnam War veteran and a USMC sniper with 93 confirmed kills. For 35 years, he held the record of longest successful sniping at a distance of 2286 meter. Many snipers in Second World War surpassed him in terms of kill counts by wide margins, but Hathcock was considered as the most skilled. His accounts and exploits made him a legend among marines. He primarily used M21 sniper rifle during the war and Hathcock’s marksmanship reputation allowed him to establish USMC sniper training program.
