8. Mark David Chapman
Mark David Chapman is the convicted murderer of the famous British musician, John Lennon. Around 11 PM at December 8, 1980, Chapman fired five hollow-point bullets from his .38 Special revolver to the back and right shoulder of the former vocalist of The Beatles.
Chapman pulled out a copy of the Catcher in the Rye, read it and remained at the scene until police arrived. He was apprehended quickly without incident and the first responder, brought Lennon to his police car to Roosevelt Hospital. Due to the severity his wound, Lennon was pronounced dead at 11.15PM. Chapman is currently undergoing life imprisonment sentence at the Attica Correctional Facility, New York.
