1. Gavrilo Princip
Gavrilo Princip was a Bosnian Serb extremist who murdered the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife in Sarajevo. His action sparked one of the bloodiest conflicts in human history, the World War I, when Austria-Hungary launched a series of military actions against Serbia. Princip died in 1918, due to severe malnutrition and tuberculosis.
