2. Dona Paz
This is the most tragic accident in the history of the Philippines. Dona Paz sunk after colliding with an oil tanker which carried 8,800 barrels of petroleum. Officials report that there are around 1,500 people died but it is believed that the death toll reached 4,341 since it was overcrowded when it left land.
