9. Behind The Scenes, Local Zoo
Go behind the gates and interact with your favorite zoo animals! This happens throughout the day, so be sure to check when. This experience does cost more, but gosh is it fun! You are guided around by a keeper, who will show you how to feed the animals, what daily care they need, and a few fun facts about the animals. In most cases you will not be able to pet the animals, however, there are some the keeper will deem safe. Not looking to spend the extra money? Wear the same color as the keepers do, they animals will see the color and naturally want to come closer since they deem you safe. Just a fun tip to do with the kids, always bring your camera, the zoo can be a magical place.
