5. Transistors
All modern electronic gadgets have one thing in common and that is the transistor. Transistors can be considered the building block of circuitry that controls the modern day electronic gadgets like mobile phones, computers and other electronics. The invention of the transistors goes back to 1947 when John Bardeen, Walter Brattain and William Shockley succeeded in building their first transistor.
