5. Star Trek: Original Series
This was one of the first space faring Sci-Fi TV shows, running from 1966 to 1969. Due to low ratings it was cancelled after three long seasons but soon became a cult classic, spawning five additional Star Trek shows, 11 movies and all sorts of other merchandise. It followed the adventures of the Starship Enterprise and her crew as they explored space.
