8. Farscape
This show from the early 00s is tongue in cheek Sci-Fi from the son of the creator of the Muppets. As a result the aliens are all wonderfully detailed puppets. No terrible CGI! You soon forget that you are watching a puppet and begin to feel for them just as you would any of the human characters. It follows John Crichton, an Earth astronaut who finds himself light years away from Earth on a living ship with an fugitive alien crew.
