6. Galileo Galilei
Galileo Galilei, the noted astronomer, scientist and mathematician that we know today had to face contempt and ignorance his entire life. He was ahead of his time in discovering the several theories of moon craters, sunspots, lunar mountains and the planets. Strong religious beliefs during his life kept him from being in the limelight. However, today after his death, his work is seen as a work of a genius and he is regarded as the father of modern physics.
