4. Linda Blair (Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist)
Regan MacNeil is a 12-year old girl who shows dangerous and dramatic changes in behavior. Doctors suspect the growth of lesion on her brain and she endures a number of unpleasant tests. Paranormal incidents begin to emerge such as, strange noises and violently shaking bed.
After killing a film director and injuring her mother, Regan is exorcized by Karras, a Roman Catholic priest and psychiatrist. When he fails; Merris, a more experienced exorcist is summoned to help but Merrin eventually dies of heart attack during the attempt. In a final struggle, Karras manages to force the devil out of Regan’s body, throws himself out of the window and dies.
