9. Piper Laurie (Margaret White in Carrie)
Margaret White is the mother of Carrie and portrayed by Stephen King as a woman with slight Southern accent and pleasant facial features. As a deeply religious woman, she is convinced that her daughter is a witch, upon learning of her supernatural abilities. Margaret snaps mentally when Carrie is at the prom and as seen in a scene, she frantically chops the cutting board with butcher knife. Margaret confronts Carrie, when she returns home and stabs her own daughter with the butcher knife. Out of desperation, Carrie uses her telekinetic ability to impale Margaret with sharp items from the kitchen.
