8. Charlize Theron (Aileen Wuornos in Monster)
Charlize Theron played the character of Aileen Wuornos in Monster, based on the story of a real life serial killer. Aileen is a female prostitute and starts to kill, after being brutalized and raped by Vincent Corey, one of her clients. She decides to quit prostitution and find a legitimate job, which is difficult since she lacks adequate education. Desperate to pay the bills, she returns to work as prostitute to kill and rob her clients.
Aileen, who is also a lesbian, uses the money to indulge herself and her girlfriend. Police officers eventually arrest her in a biker bar and during the trial; Aileen is sentenced to death penalty.
