3. Sakurajima – Japan
Named as the Vesuvius of the east, the Sakurajima volcano in Japan is the most active volcano in the region. constant eruptions have been noted in the volcano with ash being thrown out on the surrounding areas. The volcano has become active since 1955 and small eruptions keep occurring each year. The last eruption in the volcano occurred in 2009 when the debris was sent up to 2 km away.
