Watch what you Eat!
Ok, you don’t need to literally watch your food, but paying attention to what you eat and drink will go a very long ways in protecting yourself from heart problems. This may be obvious to some, but try and knock out some calories and cholesterol from your diet and instead consume more fruits and veggies! Another big thing to avoid is eating heavy amounts of fat – both saturated fat and trans fat. The Franklin Institute offers some great tips for a heart healthy diet.
