Oliver Hardy started his career in the end of 1910’s assisting Jimmy Aubrey in his comedies. Before forming Laurel and Hardy; he had appeared in more than fifty films and the duo worked together in film for the first time in The Lucky Dog. They weren’t officially became a team in 1927, after playing in Putting Pants on Phillip.
