Orson Scott Card is an American writer, who is commonly known for various sci-fi works, such as the Ender’s Games and the Speaker of the Dead, both received Nebula and Hugo Awards. Orson Scott Card is an influential figure that sets the direction of science fiction in recent decades. The idea behind Ender’s Game came from a short story about school that allows students to fight in space.
After writing the Speaker for the Dead, he continued to write other “Enderverse” novels. In 2008, it was announced that Ender’s Game will be adapted to a movie, but he didn’t have a director and other film crews lined up.
