That’s right. The concept might seem mind-blowing, but at this Pakistani eatery, you can eat all you want and pay what you want. The buffet is palatable enough, though formulaic: daily one lamb, chicken and curry, and another vegetarian dish. Eventually, frequent visits dampen the ability to distinguish one from the other, though the desserts are something else entirely—delicious offerings like mango-semolina pudding sprinkled with cardamom change daily.
Be warned: Deewan is close to the university. Skip the food-frenzied students by avoiding lunch hours, though given the hungry crowd’s paucity for good food on the cheap, it’s hard to score a table here even during off-hours.
