When you observe the shortness of breath this tends to emerge in the second trimester of pregnancy. Once the baby continues to grow this is going to increase in the third trimester of pregnancy as well.

What are the main reasons for shortness of Breath during the time of Pregnancy?

Pregnancy hormones are the main cause of shortness of breath. They cause to increase the frequency or depth of the breath. This would mean that you are going to take a lot of oxygen for you would be baby. Once you reach the later stages of pregnancy, the uterus begins to push against the diaphragm, once it starts growing. What it means is that your lungs are fully compressed and this goes on to limit your ability to expand fully when you are breathing. Even if you have just gone on to climb a few stairs it may replicate a scenario that you have gone on to run a marathon.

Some things that you can adapt to eradicate shortness of breath during pregnancy

It is of common notice that you cannot take away the common pregnancy symptom. There are a lot of things that you can do in order to ease it

  • It is suggested that you stand as straight as possible. If the posture is proper it does give space for the lungs to expand and breathe.
  • It is better that you sleep on the left side. It would mean that it works out to be the best position for circulation.
  • Just continue with your daily activities and at the same time, some amount of exercise during pregnancy would not be a bad idea at all. It is suggested that you listen to your body and do not push too hard.
  • Whatever situation it is possible to take things easy, it would be better than you do it

If you always feeling shortness of breath it is better that you discuss with your doctor. Sometimes the doctor may need to check the iron levels and this could also be one of the reasons for shortness of breath. In case if you are suffering from asthma it would be better to consult your doctor as well.

There is various another form of symptoms that might occur during pregnancy. Just be aware that it does not occur due to shortness of breath.
