5. Glacier Bay


The Glacier Bay owes its significance to the fact that it has seen at least four glacial periods. The Bay is the largest protected biosphere in the world and includes the Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. It is home to a large variety of marine life, some of which have been declared as endangered.
