7. Taos Pueblo

Dating back to the 900s, the Taos Pueblo in the Taos valley is the last part of the Pueblo Indian dwellings. The place has its significance as it served as an important center for trade between the Indians of the Plains and the pueblos of Rio Grande. The place is also known for the Great Pueblo Revolt in 1680.
