10. Jan Kubiš
Jan Kubiš was a Czech soldier and a participant of British’s plan to assassinate a high-ranking Nazi leader, Reinhard Heydrich, the Operation Anthropoid. After killing Heydrich, a company of SS soldiers found Kubiš’ resistance cell in an Orthodox church at Prague. During the six hours shootout, German lost 14 soldiers and Kubiš was incapacitated by a grenade blast. He was taken to a nearby hospital and died a few hours later due to intense bleeding.
