2. John Sculley: The Man Who Fired Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs recruited John Sculley, a senior executive of Pepsi Cola and made him Apple’s CEO as an effort to expand Apple’s management structure. While Steve Jobs was widely known as a dynamic and charismatic individual, many people found that he was temperamental, erratic and difficult to work with. Coupled with a sales slump due to intense competition, Sculley decided to oust Steve Jobs from Apple. Unfortunately, the company underwent years of low point, due to the absence of Jobs’ guidance and vision; which caused Sculley to left Apple. Steve Jobs returned in 1997 and he ushered in a golden era for Apple with various innovative products, such as iPhone, iPod, iPad and sleek Macbook models.
