Windows XP is known as a capable operating system and people are expecting a worthy successor. Vista was aimed to improve security standard, improve networking performance, provide better integrated search capability, refine user interface and introduce 64-bit computing. Unfortunately, Vista received mostly negative reviews for incompatibility problem and higher resources requirements. The Vista debacle cost Microsoft billion of dollars and caused many loyal consumers to migrate to Apple’s Mac OS X. Windows Vista was one of Microsoft biggest failures and many consumers today may remember it with utter disgust.
