5. Coulrophobia
Coulrophobia is an abnormal and persistent fear of clowns, which could be caused by a childhood psychological trauma. This phobia is quite common among children, but if left untreated, Caulrophobia can persists during adolescents and adulthood. Evil clowns popular in literature and media may contribute to this phobia; Pennywise is a demonic clown in Stephen King’s novel, “It” and Joker is considered as the arch-villain in Batman’s universe. Adults have different symptoms of caulrophobia; some are suspicious, while others develop real panic. Johnny Depp is among famous people known to suffer from this phobia.
