1. Platypus
We’ve all heard of this animal but we probably take for granted just how weird it is. It’s a mammal that has a bill similar to a duck’s and it also lays eggs. It has a paddle-shaped tail very similar to that of a beaver and webbed feet to allow it to move quickly through the water. It’s is native to Eastern Australia and Tasmania.
The males also have ankle spurs that produce a venom. It’s not lethal to humans but can kill smaller animals such as dogs.
