1. Kazan, Russia
One of the most visually striking places in the world with tall, severe looking building, yet whimsical gardens. Kazan has plenty to do, however, for the most part, photography is the main past time. Buildings stand in sharp relief to the normally cloudy skies. Visitors are warmly welcomed and can take carriages to take around town
Inevitably, there will be some days where the standard local is having a bad day. Do not let one person bring your whole trip down. For the most part these cities are wonderful at helping tourist get around. By no means is this list comprehensive, there are many more friendly cities in the world, however these are the ones we noticed.
