Also known as LTTE, the Tamil Tigers is an organization that wants a separate state from the Sri Lanka. This vision of the group led to the civil war in Sri Lanka. Tamil Tigers waged coup against the government that led to hundreds of deaths in the country until it was finally defeated in May 2009.
