Aldrich Ames was caught in the spying web due to his desperation for money. Since he needed cash, Aldrich started supplying information to the Soviets. Aldrich supplied the Russians with vital information over a period of nine years and collected a total of over $4 millions for his services. Aldrich pleaded guilty to spying after he was arrested in 1994.
