3. Turkey Earthquake
On 23rd October, an Eastern Turkey was hit by an earthquake with the magnitude 7.1. Almost six hundred peoples’ lives were claimed in this calamity. Soon it was followed by a series of 200 shocks that destroyed over 2000 buildings in Eric’s and Van cities. The jerks of earthquake continued to hit Turkey on 9th November which collapsed 25 buildings and claimed the lives of 38 people. Seeing this massive destruction, Turkey earthquake is on the eighth place in top ten disasters of 2011.
