Louis Thomas Hardin was an American musical instrument inventor, poet, musician and composer. Moondog was a blind musician and made a deliberate decision to live on the streets. Most of the time, he could be found wandering in streets of New York wearing Viking-like clothes and he was commonly known by the locals as the Viking of the 6th Avenue. It wasn’t until last years of his life that people recognized him as a skilled inventor and genius musician.
